CENTEX CAVALRY PRESS RELEASE

BELTON, COPPERAS COVE, HARKER HEIGHTS, KILLEEN, TEMPLE, TX: SEPTEMBER 8, 2016 for immediate release:

The CENTEX CAVALRY Professional Indoor Football team would like to announce a 2 year field naming agreement at the Bell County Expo with Bush’s Chicken. The field naming comes with multiple advertising benefits including logos on the field and mentions on all media exposure. This is a great partnership for the Cavalry and we look forward to great things happening the next two years.

The CENTEX CAVALRY organization have selected a new Head Coach for the 2017 and beyond season. Today we would like to introduce Michael Finney. Below is a short bio on Michael:

Michael Finney is from Lampasas where he graduated from high school in 2002. He then attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, from which he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 with a major in Exercise and Sport Science. He also has a Master of Science degree in Sport Management.

While attending college, Michael was a student coach for both UMHB and Copperas Cove High School. After graduation, he coached at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota, Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas and MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. He also served as special teams coordinator and assistant coach for the D3 National Bowl Game held in Philadelphia. In addition, Michael has experience with arena football including assistant coaching with the CenTex Barracudas, Austin Turf Cats and the Dallas Vigilantes. Michael’s experience includes coaching positions on offense, defense and special teams.

Since 2012, Michael has worked during the summers for Sports International Football Camps. This past spring, he was the offensive coordinator for the Lampasas Lightning, a semi-pro team that won the season championship. He is also a member of the American Football Coaches Association.

Come out and meet the Head Coach and enjoy some Bush’s Chicken.
