MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR RETURNS TO BELL COUNTY EXPO
sustainable living event’s second year brings exhibitors and educational workshops
BELTON, TEXAS. (February 18-19, 2017) — The Mother Earth News Fair will be returning to the Lone Star-State next month.
Mother Earth News, the largest and longest-running publication about self-sufficient lifestyles, will once again host its Texas edition of the Mother Earth News Fair Feb. 18-19 at the Bell County Expo Center, 301 W Loop 121. The Fair runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
“Bringing the Fair to Belton makes perfect sense for us, given Mother Earth News’ large subscriber base in the heart of Texas,” says Andrew Perkins, the Fair’s director.
Fairgoers can attend more than 150 hands-on workshops that cover organic gardening, food preparation and preservation, natural health, renewable energy, homesteading, small-scale livestock, green building, green transportation, and related topics. Local and national experts on sustainable and rural lifestyles will lead the sessions.
In addition, the Fair will host children’s activities, vendor and livestock demonstrations, hundreds of exhibitors, and local, organic food options.
For a reduced price, attendees will be able to pre-order a weekend wristband closer to the event. Wristbands at the gate will cost more. Children 17 and under get in free. A limited number of VIP lanyards are available for purchase as well. VIPs receive perks such as priority seating at workshops and catered meals.
